When we first got a sample of these large bowls from Spain, they had no instructions.  We thought,  "What do we grate 20 cloves of garlic in the big grater bowls instead of one on the plate?"    We soon found many uses.  Now whenever we make a dressing or a marinade, we simply start with the garlic, ginger, or both in the bottom of the big rasp bowl, then make the whole recipe in the same bowl!!   No transferring = less mess and more flavor!!  

My favorite way to use is to grate a couple garlic cloves on the bottom, add in same cooked and drained angel hair pasta, slather in olive oil, and then bake in the oven (great for our Alfredo Sauce recipe too!).  Serve next to matching Herb Mill and also a couple grater plates around the table with some fresh Parmigiano Reggiano.  Fun, beautiful, and delicious!!!
